PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To introduce a new contract for the Supply of Marinated Chicken Products and Accompanying Products

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

The new contract for the Supply of Marinated Chicken products and Accompanying Products is required as our current supplier has no contract in place, due to the popularity of these products our annual spend requires a contract in place.

A decision is being made to propose the new contract from 1^st April 2024 until the 31^st March 2026.

LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE

A Gateway report will be considered in accordance with the Council’s Procurement and Contract Procedure Rules.

The contract award will be undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management and Legal and Democratic Services.

This is a key decision.  The proposal for the contract was entered on the forward plan in December 2023.

RECOMMENDATION

That the new contract for the Supply of Marinated Chicken Products and Accompanying Products be approved.
